Home EV Chargers
Using Solar PV to charge your car during the day? It makes sense to do so!
We install Ev Chargers for your home or office that utilise excess power generated from your Solar PV System to charge your car thus reducing your carbon footprint even more.
We currently install the well-known Zappi charger by myenergi or the ProjectEV range of chargers. Tethered or un-tethered or just not sure? Speak to the team

Benefits of Home Charging
Convenience and Ease – You can charge your vehicle at home overnight or whenever needed, without having to wait at a public charging station.
Cost Savings – Home electricity is generally cheaper than public charging stations, especially during off-peak hours.
Time-Saving – No need to go out just to charge your vehicle; simply plug it in at your garage or driveway.
Energy Management – Modern chargers like Zappi can integrate with solar or green energy, enabling eco-friendly charging.
Longer Battery Life – Slow and steady charging at home helps maintain and extend your EV battery’s lifespan.
Full Control – Apps allow you to schedule charging times, set charging speed, and monitor energy usage.
Tethered vs Untethered Chargers: Which to Choose?
1. Tethered Charger:
Comes with a cable permanently attached to the charger.
No need to carry a separate cable for every charge.
Very easy to use: just plug your car in and start charging.
Popular for home use because of its simplicity.
Example: Zappi Home Tethered.
2. Untethered Charger:
Does not have a cable; you use your vehicle’s charging cable.
More flexible if you have multiple vehicles or need to change cables for different car models.
Slightly more effort required to connect each time.
Example: Ohme Untethered Charger.
Which one to choose?
If your EV mostly charges in one place, Tethered is simpler and more convenient.
If you have multiple EVs or want the flexibility to switch cables, Untethered is a better choice.
